What’s open on campus during Thanksgiving break?
Check out the hours of operation below for Carthage buildings and services during Thanksgiving break. Normal hours resume Monday, Dec. 2. See normal hours by visiting each service’s website linked below.
Campus Safety
The Office of Public Safety remains open 24/7, with officers on campus throughout the break.
Campus Store (bookstore)
- Monday, Nov. 25-Tuesday, Nov. 26: 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
- Wednesday, Nov. 27-Sunday, Dec. 1: Closed
Campus Dining
While campus dining will be limited during this period, students have access to convenient off-campus alternatives. Local grocery stores and restaurants are just a short bus ride (Route 4) or ride-share away in the Kenosha area. Many of these establishments offer delivery or takeout services for students’ convenience. Additionally, a campus shuttle will go to Glenwood Crossings (Pick’N Save, Dollar Tree) at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 25 and at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26. The shuttle will depart and drop off students at the Madrigrano shuttle stop.

Red Zone
- Monday, Nov. 25-Saturday, Nov. 30: Closed
- Sunday, Dec. 1: Noon-10 p.m.
The Flex Kitchen, Lentz Do Lunch, Pacific Harbor, The Shack, and Starbucks are closed Monday, Nov. 25 through Sunday, Dec. 1.
Health and Counseling Center
Health services are not available during Thanksgiving break. Counseling services are available by appointment only Monday, Nov. 25 and Tuesday, Nov. 26. There are no walk-in services.

Shuttle Services
Shuttle services will not operate over Thanksgiving break and will resume service at 10 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 1. For residential students remaining on campus over break, a campus shuttle will go to Glenwood Crossings (Pick’N Save, Dollar Tree) at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 25 and at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26. The shuttle will depart and drop off students at the Madrigrano shuttle stop.
