Event Spaces

Straz Atrium
This two-story, glass-enclosed atrium overlooking Lake Michigan is also home to Carthage’s planetarium. This venue is perfect for networking events and happy hours. Located in the David A. Straz Jr. Center for the Natural and Social Sciences, conference rooms and classrooms for smaller breakout sessions are available.
Jockey Club
Located in the Todd Wehr Center, the Jockey Club Rooms are classic conference spaces overlooking Lake Michigan. The space has the ability to seat up to 400 guests with the ability to be broken into smaller spaces.
Dining Commons
Located on the second floor of the Todd Wehr Center, the Dining Commons serves as the primary campus dining hall. Surrounded by floor-to-ceiling glass and an outdoor terrace, this venue is best suited for large wedding receptions or dinner events.
A. F. Siebert Chapel
Located in the heart of campus, this stunning venue is a multi-use space that can accommodate large-scale speaking engagements, concerts, end-of-life ceremonies, or weddings. It also provides the ability to host parts of your event outdoors either on the chapel terrace or the adjoining green space overlooking Lake Michigan.
Joan C. Potente Chapel
Located on the south end of campus, the small chapel offers a peaceful environment for spiritual practices, prayer, and small gatherings. The chapel’s serene ambiance makes it a place for solace and community.
Walter Fritsch Meditation Chapel
Nestled in Carthag’e arboretum overlooking the Root River, the small chapel is designed for contemplation and meditation. This tranquil space invites individuals to find inner peace and practice mindfulness in a peaceful setting conducive to reflection.
A. W. Clausen Center for World Business
Ideal for corporate retreats and conferences, this venue offers several classrooms, conference rooms, a 200-person theatre, and several indoor and outdoor gathering spaces.
Hedberg Library
This contemporary two-story venue offers several opening gathering spaces perfect for networking events and happy hours, multiple conference rooms, classrooms, and a 50-person theater.
Campbell Student Union
This two-story venue features floor-to-ceiling glass providing open and airy space for networking events, happy hours, and wedding receptions. The upper-level 200-person theater is equipped to host film screenings, lectures, and musical performances.
N. E. Tarble Athletic and Recreation Center
In addition to several recreation and fitness facilities, Tarble’s Field House is one of the largest venues in the Milwaukee-Chicago corridor with the ability to host events for up to 4,000 attendees.
Alice Moody Chapin Arboretum
Comprising the entirety of campus, the campus grounds offer several outdoor settings including open spaces by the Root River and Lake Michigan able to accommodate open-air and tented events of any size.
The Tower Terrace
Located on the south side of campus, this lakefront indoor/outdoor location is an ideal venue for mixers or happy hours. This location also features two conference rooms, a large outdoor seating area, and a sand volleyball court.
